Macedon Recreation Tennis Camp is back in 2025!
We are very excited to have Ella Eakins back for another year to lead the program. Ella is a star player on the Pal-Mac Varsity tennis team and is wrapping up her Junior year. She attended this camp for years and is ready to share her love of the sport with your kids. Please review her introduction below the information about tennis camp.
TENNIS CAMP INFO
WHO: Anyone ages 5-18, all skill levels from beginner to competitive players
WHEN: Four weeks starting Monday June 30th. Camp runs Monday-Thursday with Friday designated as a rain makeup date for that week.
WHERE: Pal-Mac Middle School Tennis Courts
COST: This program is offered as either the full 4-week session or as a weekly option. For weekly, you can pick between 1 and 3 of the 4 weeks being offered. There is a slight discount for the full 4-week session.
Ages 5-8 is $30/week or $100 for full 4-week session
Ages 9-11 is $35/week or $110 for full 4-week session
Ages 12-18 is $40/week or $130 for full 4-week session
EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Sneakers & water. Having your own racket is encouraged but we have some for players to borrow if notified ahead of time. Shorts or pants with pockets to hold extra tennis balls are also recommended.
Hi, my name is Ella Eakins, I'm 17 years old and I'm going to be a senior in high school next year. I love playing tennis. I play for the Pal-Mac girl’s varsity tennis team as first singles. I also play year round at TCR. (Tennis Club of Rochester)
I'm in the class of 2026 and have been on the varsity squad since my freshman year. I've won team MVP 2 years in a row which is voted on by my fellow teammates and I'm also a 2x First Finger Lakes League Singles Player which is voted on by all of the coaches in the Finger Lakes. Both awards I'm very proud of and I believe they reflect all the hard work I put into the sport.
Tennis is a lifelong sport that’s a great way to be physically active. It’s easy to learn and is a great way to meet new friends. I’ve been doing this camp since I was five and I can’t believe that I will be running it again this year! I can’t wait to meet all of the kids I will be teaching tennis to.
