NEW THIS YEAR!!!
After a trial run this past fall, we are attempting to open the concession stand for food and drinks during each Summer Soccer date but but need some volunteers to help run it. The time commitment would be ~5:45p-7:15p. If you have a teen that needs volunteer hours this would be a great opportunity but adults are also encouraged to reach out, especially if they can help grill burgers and hot dogs. WHAT: Summer Soccer is our longest outdoor program for any child who wants to learn about soccer, sharpen their existing soccer skills, or just wants to have some fun running outdoors! All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to sign up.
WHO: Children ages 2 through those entering 5th grade in the fall.
NOTE: Our website automatically rolls up grades on existing account members on June 1st every year. Ex: If you currently have a 1st grader, the website will update that to 2nd grade automatically. If you are adding a new account member before 6/1 please put their grade they are currently in. If you are adding a new account member on or after 6/1, please put the grade they will be in the fall. If you need a grade corrected, please email Dale (see below) and he can fix it for you.
GROUP 1: 2-3 year olds
GROUP 2: Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten
GROUP 3: 1st and 2nd graders
GROUP 4: 3rd through 5th graders
WHEN & WHERE: Every Monday and Wednesday for six weeks (July 6th-August 12th) between 6pm-7pm at Bullis Park.
NOTE: Group 4 will end at 7:30
Any dates canceled due to weather (thunder/lightning, torrential rain) will not be made up.
COST: $40 for Groups 1-3, $45 for Group 4 (includes t-shirt for players to keep)
-Team/individual photos will be available for purchase separately. Photos will be taken during Week 2 (Monday July 13th & Wednesday July 15th) and will be made available about a week later.

PARENT/GUARDIAN PARTICIPATION:
At least one parent/guardian must be at Bullis Park for each scheduled day in case of emergency.
For those in group 1, you will need to be able to directly assist your child in participation in drills/activities. Think “herding cats”.
We always need coaches and assistant coaches to help lead the groups/teams.
Please indicate if you are able to coach when you fill out the registration. If you want to partner up and coach with a friend or your spouse please email me separately (recreation@macedontown.net)
You don't need experience in soccer. We will provide a list of popular skills & drills to teach and we can arrange to meet at the park prior to the start of the session to go over things in-person if you want.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
CLEATS: You can wear sneakers but soccer cleats are highly recommended for this program.
SHIN GUARDS: Groups 2, 3, and 4 must wear shin guards during this activity. Group 1 is not required, but you are welcome to try if you can convince your toddler to keep them on.

On a final note, we never want cost to come in the way of a child participating in our soccer programs. If you are unable to afford the registration fee please reach out to me privately via email as we do have some scholarships available.
If the issue is equipment costs, I would be more than happy to see if any community members have previously enjoyed equipment that can be donated.
