Thankfully, this year we have at least one coach for each team prior to registration beginning.

Indoor travel soccer is a competitive program that welcomes boys and girls from grades 3 and up to compete in tournaments throughout the winter season.
The season officially begins with weekly practices in mid-November and continues through at least March, possibly mid-April.
Tournaments are mostly held on weekends though there may be some weekday tournaments when school is out of session.
Tournament participation is voluntary BUT the $45 registration fee includes entry to our annual Pal-Mac Tournament which will be held this season on Saturday January 31st (girls) and Sunday February 1st (boys) at either the Pal-Mac Middle School or High School gym.
Additional tournaments cost extra, usually around ~$10-$15 per player. Information about additional tournaments will be made available once the various tournament organizers publish their dates/costs/information. This info will be provided to you either by the coach or by myself.
PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Each team has one weekly 90-minute practice scheduled at a Pal-Mac school gymnasium.
This year practices may begin as early as the week of Monday November 10th HOWEVER the coach of each team will confirm when practices actually begin.
Practice dates, locations, and times are subject to change based on the availability of gym space. We try to keep a consistent day & location however that's not always possible due to school events (sports practices/games, school dances, et.c) and there are other community groups also using the gym space throughout the winter.

OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES
- Soccer experience is NOT required for the grade 3-5 groups. Beyond that, this is considered a competitive activity, so experience is helpful.
- If rosters are full, Pal-Mac residents will be given preference however residency is not a requirement to join.
- Between December and March, various tournaments are held at various schools and other locations in the Western NY/Finger Lakes area
- Tournaments are set up with either age or grade restrictions which may sometimes necessitate teams to be formed from different practice groups.
- Ex 1: A 6th grade tournament can use 4th, 5th, and 6th grade players, but not 7th.
- Ex 2: An 8th grader who is still only 13 years old could play in a 13 & under age group with members of the regular 6th & 7th grade team.
- Tournaments are mostly on weekends and usually in gymnasiums, but sometimes on indoor turf fields.
- Typically within an hour of Pal-Mac.
- Some tournaments set max roster limits so the coach may have to choose from available players.
- Participation in tournaments incurs additional cost, beyond the program registration fee. Typically about $10-$15 per player per tournament.
- Pal-Mac's home tournament is Saturday Jan 31st for all girls teams and Sunday Feb 1st for all boys teams.

Program Fee covers:
- Use of soccer balls, pinnies, cones, etc.
- Secondary insurance, for claims above and beyond your primary insurance.
- Costs associated with the Pal-Mac home tournament.
Coaches are all unpaid volunteers
Practices will start mid-to-late November or early December, and run through at least February. There are some tournaments in March and April so the team may continue to practice/play that far.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
- sneakers or indoor soccer shoes
- shin guards
- exercise clothing such as a t-shirt and shorts. (At tournaments, often the teams will use their summer Pal Mac uniforms, but your child can wear a similarly colored outfit/shirt/jersey.)
Thanks to the efforts of current Pal-Mac junior Zooey Graham we do have some donated equipment including shin guards, turf shoes & most importantly some flat indoor soccer sneakers. If you are unable to afford buying new gear, please email me with sizes to see if we can accommodate your player.
