WHAT: Spring Soccer is a weekly outdoor program for any child who wants to learn about soccer, sharpen their existing soccer skills, or just wants to have some fun running outdoors! All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to sign up.
WHO: Children ages 2 through current 5th graders
GROUP 1: 2-3 year olds
GROUP 2: Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten
GROUP 3: 1st and 2nd graders
GROUP 4: 3rd through 5th graders
WHEN & WHERE: Every Wednesday in May (7th, 14th, 21st, 28th) between 6pm-7pm at Bullis Park.
NOTE: Group 4 will end at 7:30
COST: $35 (includes t-shirt for players to keep)
REGISTRATION CLOSES Monday April 21st at 11:59pm (first Monday after Spring Break)

PARENT/GUARDIAN PARTICIPATION:
We always need coaches and assistant coaches to help lead the groups/teams. Please indicate if you are able when you fill out the registration. If you want to coach with another person please email Dale so he can pair you up during registration.
Parent/guardian attendance is required for all age groups.
For those in group 1, you will need to be able to directly assist your child in participation in drills/activities. Think “herding cats”.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
CLEATS: You can wear sneakers but soccer cleats are highly recommended for this program.
SHIN GUARDS: Groups 2, 3, and 4 must wear shin guards during this activity. Group 1 is not required, but you are welcome to try if you can convince your toddler to keep them on.
If you need to purchase shin guards I would recommend you go with ones that have the stirrup/ankle padding attached because they stay in place easier than ones with just a velcro strap, or the sleeves.

On a final note, we never want cost to come in the way of a child participating in our soccer programs. If you are unable to afford the registration fee please reach out to me privately via email as we do have some scholarships available.
If the issue is equipment costs, I would be more than happy to see if any community members have previously enjoyed equipment that can be donated.
